This fashion show is a fundraiser for "Social Fabric," a community sewing studio we are opening in collaboration with the Bike Kitchen. The goals of this sewing studio are to be a resource for the community, to encourage creativity, reuse, self-sufficiency and access to machinery that people might not otherwise be able to afford or have space to house. It will be a place for sharing ideas and knowledge, learning how to sew and creating textile based items. It's a way to provide affordable education and also a way to enter into and learn about the fashion/textile industry.
